Cat In the Hat:Freud

-The fish represents the mother because most of the things that he was telling the kids to do were things that the mother would tell them. It was like n unspoken rule because the mother wasn’t there.

-The superego is a stage where you have matured and learned right from wrong. The fish and the mother both know right from wrong. The kids also do but since they are not fully matured yet, its kind of harder for them to determine which one they would enjoy, having fun or being good.

-The fish is the total opposite of the Id. The cat would represent the Id because he is more hyper and those are some of the in that stage.
•The cat was hyper because that was how he
felt at the time.
•The cat wanted to influence the kids to
have fun. Little did he know that them
having fun would be them breaking the
rules.
-The ego had something to with the fish and the cat because in the end the both got what they wanted.
•The cat wanted to have fun and he did.
•The fish wanted the cat to leave and he did.
